دهش فلكي Oleg Bartunov, 51 خلال رحلة استكشافية في جبال الهيمالايا في النيبال. عندما رأى
سحابة قوس الرحمن تحوم في سماء جبل ايفرست ليقوم بتصوير المشهد بكاميراته و يلتقط صورتين تظهر تقريبا أطياف قوس الرحمن في حدث طبيعي نادر مسجل في جبل ايفرست.
* الظاهرة تحدث بسبب انعكاس الضوء على على بلورات الثلج الصغيرة الموجودة داخل الماء المتبخر للسحابه
* قال السيد Bartunov. 'أنا لم ألتقط سوى صورتين وكنت في حالة من الدهشة ، هل ما شاهدته صحيحا




و اضاف 'الضوء القادم من الشمس ، كان يمر في ظل الغيوم في زاوية مثالية لخلق تأثير سحري.
*عندما شهدت هذا الحدث لم أصدق عيني ، لذلك طلبت من الآخرين للتأكد من أنها حقا سحابة قوس الرحمن.
Bartunov ، وهو زميل في المعهد الفلكي ستيرنبرغ في موسكو ، وقال : كانت هناك مجموعة من النساء المسنات الإنجليزيات هناك.
قلت لهم أن ينظرن إلى الغيوم و أصبحن في حالة من الدهشة وقمن بتصوير الغيوم بآلات تصوريهم الصغيرة.
